NEW DELHI, SEPTEMBER 27 : Airports Authority of India's Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport, Indore conferred with the prestigious National Tourism Award 2017-18 at an award function held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi today on the occasion of World Tourism Day.

Mr G Chandramouli, Regional Executive Director (Western Region) and Mrs Aryama Sanyal, Airport Director, Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport, Indore receiving the Best Airport Award (Rest of India Category) - National Tourism Award 2017-18

Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport, Indore received the Best Tourist Friendly Award in 'Rest of India' category.

The Vice President of India, Mr M. Venkaiah Naidu was the chief guest at the function. This is the second time; Indore airport has received this award for exemplary contributions towards the growth of tourism in the country.

The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India annually presents National Tourism Awards to various segments of the travel, tourism and hospitality industry.

The National Tourism Awards have, over the years emerged as a prestigious recognition of achievements in the travel, tourism and hospitality sectors.
