NEW DELHI, NOVEMBER 08 : On November 01, 2017 during Vigilance Awareness Week being observed from October 30, 2017 to November 04 , 2017 Dr T M Bhasin, Vigilance Commissioner, Central Vigilance Commission addressed the top executives of the bank at Head Office of Punjab National Bank, Bhikaiji Cama Place, New Delhi. 
He stressed on the need of making a comprehensive code of conduct by adopting standard operating procedures for eradication of corruption. He opined that standardized operations and defining time limits for completion of work, will result in increase in operational efficiencies leading to economic growth of the nation.
Dr Bhasin also distributed certificates and prizes to the winners of Essay Writing Competition held on this occasion.  The subject of the competition was “My Vision – Corruption Free India”.
The programme was chaired by Mr Sunil Mehta, Managing Director and CEO.Mr K V Brahmaji Rao  and Mr Sanjiv Sharan Executive Director, Punjab National Bank welcomed the chief guest.
Mr Satish K Nagpal, Chief Vigilance Officer, briefed participants on different activities undertaken during Vigilance Awareness Week at bank’s Head Office as well as in the field.
The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by Dr R S Sangapure, Executive Director.
